Mood-Tuner is a mindfulness tool that is kind of like emotional yoga. Or think of it like a life-coach/ guru/ therapist in-your-pocket. It is a set of easy, pick-me-up practices, that you can do anytime, anywhere. Using special questions to redirect your inner dialog, Mood-Tuner helps you shift from stuck to inspired; from "blah" to "awesome!"
THE POWER OF FOCUS
“I keep the telephone of my mind open to peace, harmony, health, love and abundance. Then whenever doubt, anxiety, or fear try to call me, they keep getting a busy signal and soon they’ll forget my number.” ~Edith Armstrong
You’ve probably heard that your focus and awareness create your reality. Not only does what you focus on determine how you feel in the present; it also determines what you create for the future. Consciously harnessing your focus and intention is the most profound way you can alter your experience.
Mood-Tuner works through the power of questions, to help bring your focus to the thoughts and resources that can empower you, open up possibility, and create a new way forward.
THE POWER OF A PRACTICE
Keeping focused on the positive, and remembering all the tips and advice you’ve learned - not to mention figuring out what applies in each moment and how to implement it - can be difficult, to say the least! Trying to live by will-power alone is not an effective strategy (as most of us rediscover around New Years). In times of stress or unfamiliarity, we tend to revert to our autopilot of conditioned scripts and responses.
Mood-Tuner was born out of a desire to create a stress-free way to implement the lessons from personal development and wisdom traditions into our real lives. It's all well and good to be inspired by books, but the proof is in really living it! The more regularly we tune-in using these practices, the more natural and easy-to-access these moods become.
ANCIENT ADVICE; NEW FORMAT
The psychological and spiritual wisdom on which Mood-Tuner is based is not a secret. If you've been on a path of personal growth or inquiry for any amount of time, most of the content of Mood-Tuner will feel like things you already "know".
However, the difficult part for most of us is putting into practice what we know, and applying in real-time when a difficult issue arises. This is where Mood-Tuner comes in. It is:

Creator Kate Howe came up with the concept for Mood-Tuner while her head was spinning from trying to remember all the pieces of wisdom and advice she had read, and trying to figure out how they fit together and to apply them to her real-life issues. “With Mood-Tuner I don’t have to remember how to be positive when I’m in a bad mood. I just follow the prompts, and it guides me to shift my thinking.”
Melinda Brahimi, of Brooklyn, New York, has taken to using Mood-Tuner on a regular basis. “What else do you do when you’re in a bad mood? Call a friend to vent. But those people aren't always available. I love Mood-Tuner because it reminds you what makes you happy and what you are proud of. It helps you put things into perspective."
Mood-Tuner is now available in the U.S. for the iPad on the Apple App Store for $1.99. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mood-tuner/id482814519?mt=8
Mood-Tuner will also be coming to the iPhone and Android in the near future.
